Knock and the Door Shall Be Opened

 Posted by Picasa

Ok, I'm going to eventually get around to telling you all about the crawdad fiasco, pulling shenanagins on campus at midnight, and 2-D class, but for now, this must suffice.

This is the picture that I drew during the parts of Gabe and Luke's game when they weren't playing. It's of a door (obviously) on a Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg, Virginia. They have the most lovely buildings there!

I think that architecture (cars, buildings, doors from Presbyterian churches, etc.) is one of the most difficult things to draw. Of course I guess it partly depends on how your brain works. Eucharisto and me for example; I'm more comfortable at drawing people, faces, etc. than he is. However, my car drawings look like the work of a committee of un-gifted two-year-olds. But when you hand Eucharisto a pencil and a piece of graph paper, and ask him to draw a car, I swear the results are drivable.

Of course, getting into your brain would be to difficult; you have obviously conquered both sides, rendering my above paragraph nearly meaningless. I say "nearly" because any piece of writing containing references to two-year-olds sitting on committees has to be of some merit.

So in short; kudos to you for the drawing and also for using the word "shenanigans". (Which is all I meant to say in the first place.)

'Thanks to you' mum! (You have to use that accent when you read this. You know what I'm talking about!)

Oh, Josh, you can't because I was saving that for later and it wouldn't go back to my dashboard. You can later, ok!? I think I shoud do more painting too, but circumstances just don't allow, thanks though for the encouagement!

Good Sir Knight, they are indeed hard to draw. That one took me like two days of working on it. I think it's because when you draw something that is so concrete like a building or a car, it has to be just right. People have a visual that they recognize as a 'car' or 'door', so if you vary from the norm, it really shows.

Anyways, you've got faces and stuff down, so don't worry if your vehicles aren't drivable, mine wouldn't be either. ( And I don't know how to spell shananananagiiinns or whatever)

Thanks for the kind words guys!
